DIGITAL BANKING UPDATE FAQ’S

Why is the bank updating? We are committed to offering only the best to our customers.  This upgrade will improve our technology and digital banking. We’re excited to offer a wider variety of products to put the control at your fingertips, as well as allow us to provide you a better banking experience. The last 91 years of serving our communities has been nothing short of amazing, and with this update we feel confident the next 91 will be even better!

 

What changes will I notice? With the upgrade, our staff will gain updated tools that will help us gain efficiencies behind the scenes, but more importantly, we will continue to offer great products & features to our customers as well. A few of these include:

  • Modernized and streamlined digital banking (online and mobile) right at your fingertips
  • A more secure P2P (Person to Person) Payments platform with greater fraud controls
  • A new account alert (text, email, and push) service to keep you notified of your activity

 

When will the update happen?  The upgrade will take place July 9th – July 14th.
PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY AS DEBIT CARD LIMITS WILL BE LOWER THROUGH THE WEEKEND.  ONLINE & MOBILE BANKING TRANSFERS AND PAYMENTS WILL BE UNAVAILABLE.

 

ONLINE & MOBILE BANKING

  • I am having trouble accessing my online banking account.
    • Digital Banking will be unavailable July 10th through the early morning of July 14th while we update our new systems. We will provide login instructions in a separate mailing or you may call us anytime.
  • What about Apple & Android Apps?
    • If you have an iPhone, the new digital banking app will prompt you to install an update on Monday, July 14th.
    • If you are an Android user, you will need to delete the current app and redownload the FB&T app.
  • Do I need to do anything for Quicken or QuickBooks downloads?
    • Yes, see below.

 

BILL PAY

  • Will I need to pay my bills a different way?
    • Scheduling new payments will be unavailable July 3rd – July 13th.  Previously scheduled payments for any day after July 3rd will process as expected.  Beginning July 14th, you will have access to our updated online banking platform AND new bill pay service.  All existing payees and scheduled bills will be converted.
  • My bill pay looks different.
    • Yes, we updated our bill pay system.  Your bills will convert to the new platform, but please log in and review your information.
  • Why is it different?
    • To continue providing the same ease of bill pay all in one place, we have upgraded to a more user-friendly system that will still keep the convenience of paying your bills all in one spot at your fingertips.

 

QUICKEN & QUICKBOOKS

 

DEBIT CARDS

  • Will my debit card work during the upgrade?
    • Starting Wednesday, July 9th, please know that card limits will be lower than normal and we will be unable to raise them, so please plan accordingly.
  • Will I have to get a new debit card?
    • No. You can continue to use your current card. We will still provide new debit cards for lost, stolen or fraudulent requests.
  • What features will change with my debit card?
    • Limit Controls – Easily set spending limits for added security and flexibility.
    • Digital Wallet Compatibility – Add your card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay for secure, contactless payments.
    • All the Features You Love Are Still Here – Enjoy the same reliability, security and access.

 

ZELLE

  • I cannot find Zelle to transfer money.
    • We’re excited to introduce SPIN. Social Payment Instant Network (SPIN) delivers the latest P2P payment technology and allows funds to clear in a matter of minutes.  It is a fast, safe, and easy way to send money to your friends and family, right from your FB&T mobile app or online banking!  All you need is the cell phone number or email address of the person you’re paying.

 

ALERTS

  • I am not receiving any text or email alerts.
    • On July 14th, you will have the ability to setup these alerts either on the FB&T app OR in our new online banking platform.
